The Vestry is the governing body of the Parish, elected by the Parish at its annual meeting.
The primary purpose of the Vestry is to care for the financial and physical assets of the Parish and to work with the Rector on all matters of church governance and operations.

Tim began attending Christ Church in 2018 along with his wife, Kate, and their three children, Declan, Elsa, and Graeme. Tim assists as a videographer for the online streaming services, which started during the pandemic. Tim and Kate wanted to be part of a common spiritual community, but Tim being raised Catholic and Kate being raised Congregationalist made it difficult to find common ground. Christ Church offered the best of both traditions and warmly welcomed them.
Tim is a senior engineering manager and holds two degrees from Massachusetts Maritime Academy. He is also a 32nd degree Freemason and has been the secretary of his lodge in Haverhill for ten years.
Matt and his wife Mary Ann are long-time members of Christ Church. Their three adult children all grew up in the church. Matt has served in various roles over the years, including Property Committee member, usher, youth group leader, and Confirmation mentor.
Matt is a recently-retired software engineer and is excited about serving Christ Church in this new role.
Cindy, a lifelong Episcopalian, joined Christ Church in 2011, with husband Jim and son Leo, who was baptized at Christ Church that year. Leo attends the Church School program and sings with the St. Cecilia Choristers. Cindy teaches in the Church School, has helped lead the Christmas Pageant.
Cindy works as a Regional Manager of Information Services with Bain & Company in Boston. The Stavropoulos family live in Andover.
Gabriella (Gaby) Browne began attending Christ Church on Easter 2022, and felt immediately at home. She is also a member of the choir. She lives in North Andover with her husband (John Nissenbaum) and son, Josh.
Gaby works at MIT as a financial administrator in the office of the Provost. John also works at MIT.
She is currently filling a one-year term on the Vestry while helping out Karen Aalto and Matt Calnan and learning the Treasurer role.
Rebecca became a member of Christ Church in 2008 along with her husband Tim and two of their children, Jacks & Lincoln. Daughter Eleanor arrived in 2010. Rebecca assists with the Youth Group, taught in the church school, and helped lead the Christmas pageant for several years. Rebecca is a mom-entrepreneur and lives in Haverhill with her family.
Doug, along with his wife Josephine, have been members of Christ Church Andover since 2015. Josephine grew up Catholic, and Doug grew up as a Congregationalist. They found Christ Church to be the perfect fit for their family. Their daughter, Caitlin, was baptized at Christ Church in 2015. Doug enjoyed volunteering as an usher and began serving in this role in 2018. Three years ago, he took over the role of head usher and is responsible for scheduling and assignment of duties. Josephine volunteers on the Altar Guild as well as Church School, which Caitlin attends. Caitlin has been a member of the choir for two years. Caitlin also attended pre-school at Christ Church Childrens Center. The Nason family lives within walking distance to downtown Andover.
Doug is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst and is the National Account Executive for Ste. Michelle Wine Estates.
Don and his wife Rita have been members of Christ Church since moving to Andover in 1982. They both have been active Choir members for most of that time. Don is a graduate of Tufts College and Tufts Medical School and recently retired after 50 years in Pediatric Practice. He has been on many committees at Christ Church and the Diocese. Don has been involved with Youth Groups at Christ Church, the Diocese and The Barbara C. Harris Camp. He has been on the Vestry previously and has been Sr. Warden. he is currently on the Property Committee and the Music Advisory Committee, volunteers at the Thrift Shop and is on their Board.
Dolores “Dee” Goyette is the mother of 2 college- age sons, a lifelong musician and a clinical professor. Lovingly raised in the Roman Catholic church, Dee made her home at Christ Church 10 years ago. Her favorite parts of the Book of Common Prayer are the general thanksgiving on page 836 and Psalm 139. She is honored to be able to serve the parish by being a member of Flower Guild, Choir and vestry.
Originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee, Courtenay moved to the Boston area after university to pursue a career in the aerospace and defense industry. After eventually settling in Andover, Courtenay, along with his lovely wife Anna, joined Christ Church in 2023, where Anna volunteers at Sunday school. Their first son Quentin, having added the role of the Christmas Pageant’s baby Jesus to his credits, was baptized the following year.
Courtenay enjoys astronomy, aviation, sailing, hiking in the White Mountains, and most other opportunities afforded by New England’s great outdoors. He is a lifelong Episcopalian who has felt welcomed by the Christ Church community and is eager to contribute to its mission.
Courtenay is a graduate of Georgia Tech University (B.S.) and the University of Massachusetts Amherst (M.S.). He is an electrical engineer with RTX.
